Relaxed rules in the acceptance of check payments by AABs until April 30, 2021

This Tax Alert is issued to inform all concerned taxpayers on the further relaxation of rules on the filing and payment of taxes with Authorized Agent Banks (AAB) from March 22, 2021 to April 30, 2021.
The following checks for payment must be accepted by the AABs for the said period:
- Checks for out-of-district filing and payment;
- Checks even without the name of receiving AAB Branch indicated in the check, provided that the check payments shall be made payable to the Bureau of Internal Revenue; and
- Checks having different collecting AAB branch name. Provided, that the payment is made through the same AAB but different branch only. The taxpayer shall indicate the name of receiving AAB branch that actually received the payment at the back of the check.
