The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has set December 31, 2015 as the final deadline for corporations to state the specific address of their principal office in their Articles of Incorporation. The registered address should include the street number, street name, barangay, and city or municipality.
To comply with the requirement, affected corporations and partnerships are directed to file an amended Articles of Incorporation or Articles of Partnership with the Company Registration and Monitoring Division (CRMD) of the SEC or with any of the extension offices in Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Tarlac and Zamboanga.
Failure to file the amendments within the deadline shall be subject to penalties.
